Lansing, MI - PM Coal facility

The Pere Marquette coaling facility in Lansing was at Ensel Yard. It had a 150 ton capacity with two chutes and an electric elevator.  (c.1942).

Time Line

1917. The company will erect a 50,000 gallon water tank at Ensel, just outside the north yards were its new electric coal loading station has been established. The company will pipe water from Jones Lake, establishing a pump house at the lake. [LSJ-1917-0127]
