Belt Line: Detroit Terminal Railroad
The Detroit Terminal Railroad was a belt line around the city of Detroit. It was owned by the New York Central and Grand Trunk Western. Starting at the Detroit River on the east side of Detroit, it went north and then west crossing a number of trunk lines. The DTRR Davison Yard was the main yard and roundhouse, located east of Hamtramk. The railroad continued through Highland Park and then turned south ending at the Ford Rouge works.
