This was the main line of the Pere Marquette from Saginaw west to Ludington on Lake Michigan. Station times and siding capacity from 1942.

At Lake, the PM had a large concrete coaling tower. Still in existance today.

PM Ludington Sub DispatcherPhoto Info: Though not confirmed, it was suggested that this is the CTC machine controlling the PM Ludington subdivision, and likely would have been located in Saginaw.

Time Line

February, 1915. Self propelled motor cars replace steam passenger trains between Saginaw and Mt. Pleasant. [RR-1915-0206:201]

1916. This division is generally laid with 75 lb. rail but 90 pound rail was laid this year. [MCR-1916]
