Time Line
1901. Tom Finan, a prominent mill man of Tower and formerly of Manistee, fell between the cars when attempting to board a train at the Cleveland branch this morning and the wheels of the caboose passed over both legs below the knees. He was a once brought to Onaway and taken to the hospital where it was found that both legs were broken and the right one crushed so badly that amputation was necessary. [DFP-1901-0504]
1907. The railroad adds 2.2 miles of track to the Gilcrist Branch off the Laugh Branch, on the Cleveland Branch this year. They also remove two miles of the Lobdell & Bailey branch from the Cleveland Branch. [DMAR-1907]
