Originally a branch line from Mill Mine Jct. to the Baltic, Trimountain and Champion mines, this line was extended southwest to Ricedale (new) in 1913 and became the new main line for the COPR. The old main line north from Ricedale (old) to Mill Mine Jct. was abandoned.

1901. This line was built from Mill Mine Junction to serve the area mines around Painesdale. [MRL]
