Station: Point Mills Junction, MI

Point Mills Junction StationPoint Mills Junction was a location on the COPR and H&C where the Copper Range Senter branch left the main line immediately crossing the parallel Mineral Range (H&C) line. This was a ground level class II interlocking with signals on the MR and derails on the COPR Senter branch.

[Rudi Maki collection] The building appears to house a small ground level interlocker with control pipes extending north.


Notes

This was known as Atlas interlocking on the COPR.


Time Line

1905. The Copper Range builds a 16' x 18' water tank here, which was filled by gravity.
