Station: Carlin, MI

Carlin was a station stop on the Manistee & Northwestern railroad in Grand Traverse County. It was about 5 miles southwest of Interlochen and south of Green and Duck Lakes. It was also known as Karlin.

1910. November 18. The Manistee & Northeastern railroad has notified the state railroad commissioner that there are eight cases of smallpox in Carlin, a small town in Grand Traverse county. Officials of the company have informed the commissioner that no trains will stop at Carlin during the epidemic. [DFP-1910-1118]
