Station: Angell, MI

Angell was a station on the Chicago & West Michigan (later PM and C&O) about five miles north of Williamsburg in Grand Traverse County. It was on the line north to Elk Rapids. A station was erected here in 1892 and the town also had a sawmill and shingle mill.

Time Line

1903. March 19. A heavy storm last night caused a washout near Angell. This caused a baggage car to run into an excavation, but no serious damage was done except for the delay. [DFP-1903-0320]
