Ke-go-mic was formerly known as Harbor Springs Junction. A branch left the Grand Rapids & Indiana main line at this point which offered passenger and freight service to Harbor Springs and other shore resort towns. Commuter service was operated on this line between Petoskey and Harbor Springs. During this time, the line was double tracked.
