Low-level conveyer loading system.

The Chicago & North Western railroad had several ore docks in Escanaba, which were replaced by a water-level ore loading facility about 1970.

Ground Level Loading. The C&NW built ground level ore loading facilities around 1970 and discontinued the use of dock #6. This facility continued to load ore into the CN era. The dock was closed and mothballed in 2017.
