Time Line
1957. March 3. A landmark here for 36 years, the NYC railroad water tower crumbles before your eyes. The water tower was razed last week, as did the railroad's coal dock last year. The water tower, was erected in 1921 at the west end of Michigan avenue for 36 years. [BCT-1957-0303]
