Notes
Time Line
1912. The Worden Lumber company is suing the Soo Line railroad for $70,000 in Chippewa county court. The suit is the aftermath of a fire at the Worden company's mill yards at Dick in 1908. It is alleged that a spark from a Soo Line locomotive started the blaze. The railroad won in the circuit court, but the lumber company secured a new trial from the Michigan Supreme Court.
