Station: Pinconning, MI - D&M Facilities

D&M Pinconning Depot Pinconning is a city on the Michigan Central/NYC main line north of Bay City in Bay County. The Detroit & Mackinac railway served Pinconning, on the east side of downtown. It did not connect with the MC directly until the 1990's under Lake State Railway ownership.

The Glencoe line crossed the D&M and MC lines here at grade

Notes

The D&M and MC/NYC ran parallel to each other, about 1/4 mile apart. They never connected, but an east-west logging railroad intersected both. In the 2000's, a connection was established just south of Pinconning linking the two lines and the D&M route south to North Bay City was abandoned.

Time Line

1927. The D&M station was staffed with an operator during the day shift. [ETT-1927]
