Station: Oaatka, MI
Oaatka, also known as Oa-At-Ka Beach, was located on Saginaw Bay north of North Bay City, probably near where Bay City State Park is today. The Grand Trunk Western had a line for summer excursions to this location which passed through North Bay City interlocking tower.

Time Line
1889. October 10. Vice President Burt, Secretary P.H. Ketcham and Supt. Wiswell of the TS&M went to the new West Side beach in company with S.O. Fisher and E.S. Van Liew and located the line of tracks through the beach property. The depot [site] was selected. This building will be constructed and used jointly by the TS&M and the West Bay City Electric railway Companies. [SCH-1889-1010]
1890. July 2. The CS&M will place in service four daily trains from Saginaw for Wenona and Oa-at-ka beaches, leaving their depot corner of Thompson street and Washington avenue as follows: 9:00 am, 1:10pm, 3:35 pm and 6:10 pm. Genesee avenue 4 minutes later making the run in one hour. The 9 am and 1:10 pm trains carry a free parlor car; all others elegant day coaches. Fare for the round trip of 50¢. The new pavilion is now completed, the summer hotels are open, bands of music abound, and boating, bathing and fishing can be enjoyed at all times, thus affording pleasure for all. [SAG-1890-0702]
