Location: Gibson, IN - Gibson Yard (IHB)
Gibson Yard, west of CP Gibon and east of Hohman on the Indiana Harbor Belt. This yard is at the end of the former MC main line (CSX Porter Subdivision).
This was a hump yard for the IHB, MC and NYC in the 1940's. The railroads had a car shop and locomotive shop here. East of the main yard across from the IHB, there were the Gibson Transfer Yards. [RAUS]
