Location: Maumee River Lower Bridge, Toledo, OH- (CSX)
This bridge was built in 1902 and is currently used by the CSX to get from Toledo, across the lower Maumee River to its lines in Michigan. This bridge was operated by the Toledo Terminal Railroad originally.
The Toledo Terminal Lower Maumee River Drawbridge was the first railroad bridge reached by boats shortly after entering the mouth of the Maumee River. This swing bridge was double tracked and built in 1902.
