Station: South Bend, IN - Union Station
Union Station in South Bend served the New York Central and Grand Trunk Western railroads. It was located east of "HF" Tower and was near the PRR station. It was located on the north side of the track, near S. Lafayette Blvd. and West South Street.
Notes
In 1964 Union Station had four tracks accessible by two platforms. NYC main track No. 1 (normally westbound) and No. 2 (normally east bound) went through the station, as did two passenger side tracks on either side. The station had a shorter fifth track on the north side.
The joint NYC and GTW had three additional tracks to divert freight trains around the station, to the south of the platform tracks.
