Location: D&I Junction, Flat Rock, MI

D&I Junction Flat Rock D&I Junction (Dearborn & Ironton Junction) was the location on the DT&I main line, just northeast of Flat Rock Yard, where the branch line was built north to the Ford Rouge Plant.

This location still exists and is located just north of Van Horn road east of I-75 in Woodhaven, MI.

Time Line

1930. D&I Junction, at milepost 15.2, is the point where the operator dispatches trains on the Dearborn branch in addition to his duties as a main line telegraph operator. There is a wye at this point. [DT&I blueprint, 1930]
