Location: Plymouth, MI - Interurban Crossing (PM/Interurban)

This was the crossing of the Pere Marquette main line and the Detroit, Plymouth & Northville interurban railroad in the village of Plymouth. This crossing was interlocked, likely with a "half" interlocker with derails on the interurban and signals on the PM. The location of this crossing has not been determined as of yet.

Time Line

1902. The Pere Marquette requested a review of the crossing here by the railroad commission. A personal inspection was made and found that the interlocking appliance was not being maintained in satisfactory condition. The commission ordered that necessary work should be promptly done. [MCR-1903]
