Location: West Detroit Yard, MI (PM)

The original Pere Marquette (Detroit, Lansing & Northern) line into Detroit came southeast as far as West Detroit where a connection was made with the Michigan Central. The DL&N used the MC line to the MC depot at the foot of Third Street. The PM's original Detroit yard was at West Detroit in the northwest quadrant of the crossing of the MC and Wabash/GTW.

Notes

The PM had a roundhouse and engine facility at West Detroit where their branch had a junction with the MC main line. The turntable at the roundhouse was used by D&TSL for turning their locomotives until 1914, after which the DT&LS constructed their own turntable at Dearoad (1913). The D&TSL paid the PM for the use of their turntable. [CGJ]
