Location: Spring Works, Detroit, MI
Spring Works was a junction and later a control point on the Bay City Branch of the Michigan Central railroad at the north corner of the Bay City wye north of Bay City Junction. Southbound trains on the Bay City Branch were routed southeast to the MC station or to the southwest to West Detroit interlocking. This junction was named after the Detroit Spring Works which forged springs for railroad cars nearby.

Time Line
1953. This junction, which had been operated by ground switch tenders, was converted to CTC remote control, operated by a panel from Bay City Junction.
