Station: Zilwaukee, MI
A steam sawmill was established at Zilwaukee about 1848. Zilwaukee was located on the west side of the Saginaw River across from Crow Island, and was served by the Michigan Central and Grand Trunk Western railroads. [MPN]

Time Line
1886. Fire destroyed the mill, three drill houses, and 5,000,000 feet of lumber belonging to Bliss Brothers. The loss will considerably exceed $100,000. [AR-1886-0917]
1917. The MC had an operator-agent here on two shifts. [TRT]
