Location: Penn Junction, MI
Penn Junction was the location of a connection between the Grand Trunk Western and the Pennsylvania Railroad on the border of Kent and Ottawa counties. It was originally an overpass crossing of these two independent lines but later a connection track was installed allowing the Grand Trunk Western to still reach Muskegon after it abandoned the line east of Muskegon (to Sparta/Cedar Springs).
