Mio is the county seat of Oscoda County and is located at the county’s center.
Mio didn’t have a branch railroad but may have been served by logging lines in the pine era before 1900.
1888. June. "Abe" Welsh fell under a log train at Mio and was instantly killed. [LCD-1888-0614]
