Station: Bergland, MI
Bergland was founded about 1900 and there was an early saw mill here. [MPN] The town is at the north edge of Lake Gogebic about 12 miles south of White Pine in Ontonagon County. The Duluth, South Shore & Atlantic built their branch line to White Pine from a junction off their main line here in the 1950's.

1918. The DSS&A had an operator/agent here during the day shift. [TRT]
1964. The MPSC orders that flashing light signals and bells be installed at the Soo Line crossing of M-28 in Bergland Township. [IDG-1964-1105]
