Station: Mears, MI
Mears was settled by Charles Mears, a mill owner, about 1873. [MPN] This was a junction point on the Chicago & West Michigan's Pentwater Branch where the short branch to Hart went off to the east.

Time Line
1902. A new station at Mears replaces the one destroyed by fire. [MCR-1902]
1931. The MPUC grants the PM permission to change Mears station from an agency station to a non-agency station.
