Notes

Time Line

1909. August 14. People who happened to be at the PO&N depot today when the morning train came in from the north, were attracted by the struggles of an insane woman who was being taken to the Eastern Michigan asylum. Although handcuffed and shackled, the woman fought vigorously and it was all two men could do to get her into a waiting carriage. [PGAZ-1909-0814]
