Station: Oakwood, MI (Oakland County)
Oakwood was founded about 1839 as Campbell's Corners and renamed to Oakwood in 1856. In 1971, this was known as Oakwood Boulevard on the GTW and was a station stop on SEMTA commuter train service. [GTWET-1971-0501]

Time Line
1919. February. A head on collision between two DUR interurban cars kills four and injures 44. This accident was caused by an extra train occupying the main track on the time of a superior trrain. ICC Report [PDF]
