Location: Durban, MI
Durban was a location on the Detroit, Toledo & Ironton railroad east of Dundee, MI. During Henry Ford ownership, the railroad constructed a straight line cut off from this point going to Malinta, OH, which saved the railroad considerable time and money. Durban, which was in Monroe County, was likely named after F. A. Durban, president of the DT&I and Ann Arbor railroads prior to Ford ownership. [RG-1905-0728]
