Location: Monroe, MI - Detroit Edison

Detroit Edison has a large coal fired plant on Lake Erie next to the Raisin River. Known as Monroe Edison, the plant received rail service from the D&TSL as well as the NYC. The Port of Monroe and North Star Steel are located nearby and also receive rail service. Ships had a turning basin on the Raisin River at the plant. As of 2019, the plant is preparing to close.
