Location: Negaunee, MI - Ann Street Interchange Yard

Ann Street Interchange Yard was a yard along the DSS&A east of Negaunee depot. Around 1952 the C&NW was also rerouted along Ann Street into Negaunee as a part of the Tracy Mine track alignment. Both railroads used this yard.

Ann Street is today known as County highway 480.


Notes

Cars were assembled in this yard from the Blueberry Mine (West of Ishpeming), and the New Richmond and New Volunteer mines near Palmer to trips to the Marquette (DSS&A) and Escanaba (C&NW) docks.


Time Line

1952. This yard was upgraded and lengthened following the rerouting of the C&NW line away from Tracy Mine.
