Station: LS&I Junction, Negaunee, MI
LS&I Junction was on the LS&I main line near the entrance to the Mather B mine on the north side of Negaunee (now near Negaunee High School). In 1965 the joint line was built west from here to Euclid Yard in Ishpeming and this was the LS&I connection with that line.
The Soo Line main line also connected with the new joint main here.
In the early 1960’s the LS&I's old main line from here southwest was removed in favor of joint operations on the north side of Ishpeming with the other two railroads.
The west entrance of Harris Yard in Negaunee was just east of here.
After establishment of the joint line here to Ishpeming (the current line) with the Soo line and C&NW in 1965, the LS&I main line southwest from here to Ishpeming was discontinued and abandoned.
