Location: South Republic, MI
South Republic is a small residential community in Marquette County on the southwest side of the former open-pit Republic Mine, along M-95.
Notes
This community was also called NewLo or Windy Acres. [MMJ]
There was no railroad which reached South Republic. The closest rail activity was in Republic at the north end of the mine.
