Station: Elba, MI

Elba was settled about 1835. [MPN] It had a station on the Grand Trunk Western  main line about six miles west of Lapeer in Lapeer County.

Time Line

1918. The Grand Trunk had an agent here around the clock. [TRT]

1921. October 29. Four tramps were in custody for questioning about a derailment on the GTW passenger train at Elba. Three people were injured. [LSJ-1921-1029]

1926. May. The station of the Grand Trunk railroad company was broken into here Friday night and robbed of money and valuables. The loss is not known. [LSJ-1926-0515]
