M.U.R. was the crossing of the Michigan United (interurban) railroad and the Michigan Central main line in downtown Kalamazoo. M.U.R. crossing was the farthest east crossing of the five MC crossings in Kalamazoo.
According to MC valuation maps, this crossing was on East Avenue just west of Botsford Yard. The two MC main line tracks crossed the MUR single track. There was an interlocking tower here in 1918 and the crossing diamonds were owned by the MUR. [MC Valuation Map 1918]
