Station: Ackerson, MI
Ackerson Lake was a station stop on the Cincinnati Northern (later Big Four, then NYC and Penn Central) south of Jackson at MP 5.7. In 1916, Ackerson Lake had a 61 car siding, which was later expanded to 72 cars. [HCN]
The area was settled about 1898 in Jackson County.
