The Triangle Spur was located at the Triangle Ranch, one mile north of Amasa in Iron County. This was an experimental cattle ranch established here in 1920. The project was given up during the depression in the 1930's. Both the Milwaukee Road and the C&NW had lines in this area but it is not known which line served the Ranch.
Named for the nearby Triangle Ranch. This was an attempt to farm cutover land. There were stock pens and chutes to load livestock. The Patton Timber Co. logging railroad operated from here from 1930 to 1948. [GB]
1990's. The James River Paper company had a chipping plant at Triangle and loaded 10 cars every day for Green Bay. The operation shut down at the end of 1992. [GB]
