Station: Glennie, MI
Glennie was a station on the Au Sable & Northwestern railroad in Alcona County. [MPN] The present day hamlet is located in M-65 in southwest Alcona county.

Time Line
1893. Dr. Hauxhurst of West Bay City has received a dispatch from the state board of health sending him to H.M. Loud's lumber camp in Alcona county to look into a reported diphtheria scourge and fumigate the camp. [PHTH-1893-0725] This was in Millen Township north of Glennie. The outbreak began June 10. The Loud company has expressed their willingness to follow instructions of the board and close the camp for some time to come. From this outbreak the disease has spread into three other townships in Alcona County, four in Huron County, and one each in Sanilac, St. Clair and Iosco counties. 55 cases and 25 deaths have been reported so far.
