Time Line

1880. December 5. On Thursday, the locomotive "Berrien" made her first trip on the St. Joseph Valley Railroad. She took three flat-cars loaded with iron, ties and about 200 people, from the Michigan Central Railroad depot to the new engine house across McCoy's Creek. [DFP-1880-1205]
