Notes

The Sturgis Goshen & St. Louis railroad was chartered in 1889 and was acquired by the LS&MS railway on December 1, 1889 and is operated by that company as a proprietary road. The LS received the $300,000 is capital stock and the company guaranteed the payment of the bonded debt of $322,000 - 100 year 3% bonds and interest.

The Lake Shore also operated 72 miles of the Battle Creek and Sturgis Railroad as its "Findley Branch" so called, making a total of 10.55 miles of railroad operated by the LS&MS railway from the Indiana state line to Findley. The line also operated 25.58 miles in Indiana.
