Built: 1897 from Adrian to Tecumseh. Then from Delray to Dundee, and south of Adrian to the Ohio line by 1898. Trackage rights on the DT&M between Tecumseh and Dundee.

1897. The D&LN has arranged to acquire from the Lake Shore its line extending from Dundee, Mich. to Trenton, Michigan, twenty-seven miles long, which will enable it to reach within ten miles of the city of Detroit. By building this ten-mile extension from Trenton to Detroit, the line will be completed. It was also agreed that the D&LN tracks might "be laid across those of the other two railways" [at Trenton]. 1897. The protracted controversy over the route of the Detroit & Lima Northern road was definitely settled to-day when the state railroad crossing board approved the maps growing out of the purchase by that company of the Dundee branch of the Lake Shore & Michigan Southern. By the terms of the contract the D&LN will be required to establish and maintain complete interlocking devices at the crossings at Dundee and Trenton with the Ann Arbor and Michigan Central and Lake Shore respectively, and half interlockers at 12 spur crossings near Detroit.
