Railroad: Adrian & Blissfield Rail Road Company

The Adrian & Blissfield Rail Road Company was created in 1991 to operate lines owned by the State of Michigan in the vicinity of Blissfield, Lenawee Junction and Adrian, Michigan.

The A&B is affiliated with several other short lines in southern Michigan, including the Detroit Connecting railroad, the Charlotte Southern railroad, the Jackson & Lansing railroad, and the Lapeer Industrial railroad - all lines which were former New York Central routes.

Time Line

June 1, 2021. ADBF President Mark Dobronski announces that ADBF will be sold to Transportation Holdings, LLC., pending regulatory approval.

2022. March. The ADBF adds a business car, a former CN car which has been rehabbed at the ADBF Mason shop. It has been named the Vanyce I. King. The interior was rebuilt and the car was painted. [MRF-2022-04]
