Notes

This line was 3 foot gauge, running from the Allouez Mine three miles to the northwest to the Hills Creek Mill mill.


Time Line

1884. Most of this line had been upgraded to 50 pound rail. [CRR]

1897. The nearby Wolverine Mine leased one head at the Hills Creek Mill, which had been idled for five years. The Hancock & Calumet railroad (MR/DSS&A) created a connection from Wolverine Shaft #4 to the Allouez Mine railroad. The Allouez mill stamped Wolverine rock until 1902. [CRR]
