Various parcels of this property were formerly operated successively by Silas C. Smith Mining Co., Cheshire Iron Co. and Swanzeey Iron Co., and the names Smith, Cheshire and Swanzey have been applied to them. Property known as Princeton since 1891 and operted by Cleveland-Cliffs Iron Co. As of 1950, still held b Cleveland-Cliffs Iron Co.
