1888. May. A force of about fifteen men is at present employed at the Sheridan property, Iron River district, placing a plant of machinery and clearing the ground preparatory to sinking shafts, etc. [DD-1888-0505]

1895. July. For the first time in nearly two years, a train load of ore will leave the Sheridan mine this afternoon. Last Saturday orders were received by Section Foreman Brady to tet the track into the Sheridan mine in shape for the hauling of cars over it. Mine Capt. Gulgren received word to hire men and as soon as cars were received to begin loading ore. 10,000 tons of ore has been sold and will be immediately shipped. Twenty-two men are working today. 1899. March. The transfer of the Sheridan mine to the Hemlock River Mining company of Cleveland, of which company Pickands Mather & Co. are the leading spirit, has taken place. They purchased the machinery, engine house, pumps, etc., now on the property and the leasing of the property from the fee owners by the Hemlock Mining Co. Work will begin unwatering the mine. The mine has during its history shipped 100,000 tons of ore and believed to be a promising property. [DD-1899-0318]
