Railroad connection: DSS&A to Marquette dock.

Until: 1900. Then in 1951 (see note).

Lifetime Production: 34,999 tons between 1882 and 1945.

Notes

Opened in 1882, shipped in 1882, 1884, 1886-1887, 1889, 1900 and 1945 (from stockpile). First operated by Webster Iron Co.; now held bny CCI and Mather Iron Co. The small shipment in 1945 was made by R. Q. Archibald. Being developed (in 1951) by CCI as part of the Ohio mine low-grade ore project, ore to be concentrated in the Ohio heavy media plant.
