Delta Terminal Company refinery, Rapid River, MI

The Delta Terminal oil refinery was capable of processing 4,000 barrels of oil per day. Rail service was provided by the Soo Line. The facility was closed in 1967. This was the only oil refinery in the Upper Peninsula. (Note: Currently, the closest refinery to the U.P. is in Superior, WI.
