West of Silver City

The Cuyahoga Mining Company was organized in 1856. The mine worked several small pits and an adit until 1866 when all operations ceased. No commercial amounts of copper were ever produced. A small rock pile exists, but collecting is not allowed as this is State Park property. [MINDAT]
