Notes

North Tamarack Mine was a mining location just north of Red Jacket (today's Calumet). This was part of a number of mines in Tamarack which had five vertical shafts and was first worked in 1887. See also the Tamarack Junior Mine and Tamarack Mine. This was a profitable operation over the years.
