Ensel was a station on the C&O main line at Martin Luther King/DeWitt Road on the northwest side of the City of Lansing. It is just east of the Lansing airport. This station was once staffed by an operator but is now a remote controlled point on the railroad. Ensel is the west entrance to Ensel Yard. There is a yard office for the railroad's Ensel Yard, which is it's main yard in Lansing.
1914. PM builds a 150 ton capacity coal dock. [PM45]
1928. PM installs a track scale here, 50' long with a 300,000 lb. capacity. [PM45]
1945. Ensel Yard had capacity for 309 cars. It also had a 150 ton capacity coal dock, deep wells and a wayside water-treating plant. This was the west end of double track through the Lansing area. [PM45]
